Demystifying Quantum Physics for the Korean Public
Beom Jun Kim
Department of Physics, Sungkyunkwan University, Suwon, Korea
Richard Feynman once said, “I think I can safely say that nobody understands quantum mechanics.” When I try to explain the basics of quantum physics to the public in Korea, people often ask me how it is possible to build reliable quantum devices even if we do not understand quantum mechanics. In my talk, I will first convey my perspective on the meaning of ‘understanding’ in this context and share my experiences in publicizing quantum mechanics for a general audience, drawn from my public lectures and my YouTube channel.
